The following are examples of the types of care district nurses provide.

·        Complex assessment of health needs and promotion of independence.

·        Acute and chronic disease management

·        Wound assessment and  wound care

·        Post operative care

·        Leg ulcer management

·        Prescribe & administer medications & treatments where appropriate.

·        Health promotion and advice

·        Continence advice

·        General support and advice regarding other services.

·        Ear Care

The District Nurses also run a Continence Clinic  on a Wednesday afternoon, contact the surgery to make an appointment.
