Repeat Prescriptions


Please allow TWO WORKING DAYS to process your prescription (IN ADDITION to the time required by the Pharmacy to dispense the prescription).

METHODS OF OBTAINING A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION

• Telephone 480193 between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
• Deposit in prescription box within reception area of health centre
• Order in person at the reception desk
• Send within royal mail including s stamped addressed envelope
• Post into health centre letter box ( front doors) if practice closed
Online Repeat Prescription Service

Once ordered your prescription can be sent to one of the local pharmacies, collected from the Health Centre or if SAE enclosed your prescription will be posted to you.
Please tick which pharmacy you would like to collect from on the slip or your prescription will remain at the health centre. If collecting from a pharmacy please check with them how long it will take till your prescription is ready.

PLEASE NOTE: Your prescription will go to the same place as your previous prescription, unless you specifically notify us to the contrary.  This now also applies to 'special requests'.


SPECIAL REQUESTS

You may request an item which you have received before but which is not on your repeat prescription list.
This request will be scrutinised by a doctor and may be issued at their discretion.
You may be phoned for more information ( so please make sure that we have an up to date contact number) or asked to make an appointment to discuss the request.

NHS MINOR AILMENT SERVICE

The Scottish Government abolished prescription charges on 1 April 2011.  However certain people, including children, can obtain medicine from their local Pharmacy for minor ailments, free of charge, without a prescription.  Please see this leaflet for details.
