Please telephone the Health Centre before 10am to arrange a Home Visit.

Home visits are for patients who are either too ill to attend the surgery or who are housebound for any reason.

Please make every effort to attend the surgery if possible as home visits are time consuming and a consultation in the surgery is always preferable due to there being better emergency equipment and examination facilities in the surgery.

Please bear in mind that the doctor can often see four to five patients in the surgery in the time it takes to do one house call.

Emergency home visits are carried out by the duty doctor.

It is at the doctors discretion whether a visit is appropriate. The Doctor may phone first to assess most appropriate course of action whether that be advice over the phone, an appointment or a home visit.
